On December 6th, Santa Claus came rolling down our street and ho ho ho'ed his way up to our porch! What a magical moment, no matter your age!
Last year, Santa came to visit at our house and read a story with the girls in Cressey's class. The girls STILL talk about how much fun they had together. We were determined to find a safe and socially distant way for Santa to come back this year, so we organized a 'drive by' party, split the class into smaller groups for shifts, and set him up on a throne on our front porch. Families came by throughout the afternoon, let the girls visit with Santa, and visited for a few minutes with hot chocolate (thanks to the best hostess, HG) and Whimsy cookies. The weather couldn't have been better that day- sunny and brisk- and Cressey was IN HEAVEN to have SANTA and all her friends at her house. Such a social butterfly and so sweet to include all of her buddies. I was so caught up in the Christmas spirit that I didn't even fight Cressey over her Elsa socks or HG over her athleisurewear. It's 2020 after all, right? "Let it gooooo!"
