A Long Awaited Reunion

In the fall of 1998, four girls went to Ole Miss as wide-eyed freshmen, all from different towns in Mississippi, and four years later, they left as sisters and bridesmaids and aunties-to-be. We so rarely all get to be in the same place at the same time- much less for an overnight visit- so this past fall, we got a wild hair and penciled in a weekend to be together in Oxford in January. With a lot of help from heaven, we all were actually well and free and able to sneak away for some much needed sister time! Such needed heart time with the old and faithful friends!

Toohig Tidbits: January

Yes, I'm aware that this has become a cat blog

The little moments are so sweet

Skittles, Reagan's bird, is a fan favorite

It's snowing!!

HG sent me this pic of Blue in her lap- almost unheard of!

Blue has turned into a blanket cat

It's hard to get a pic of HG on the ride to school- I gotta take what I can get to share with grandparents each morning.

Happy new year! Goals for 2022- get her training wheels off! Her class each chose a word for the year, and she picked 'kind.'

All three in one spot!

Precious handiwork by Brandy- what a beautiful gift and a work of art!!

Waiting for cheer clinic...turned into a teenager overnight

The sun lit up her baby blues!

Look at this flashback from 2018!

Sparring with her daddy

Cressey is trying basketball this winter! She's done a little after school clinic last year and loved it, but this will be official games. She's really enjoyed it so far, and I love watching her following her coach's instructions, very animatedly.

Big sis had to come watch too, which is quite a compliment since practice is on Friday nights!

A little Saturday outing in an outfit she put together all by herself.

We woke up to a beautiful snow over MLK weekend, but nothing stuck to the streets.

How is this comfortable?

HG went climbing with friends, and Cress decided to try it again.

She was brave enough to get a few levels up this thing!

More pretty blue eye moments

"Mommy, he's holding my hand!"

How cute is this??

Cressey had a project at school where she wrote a letter to an older person and told them about herself. She said she loves "cide" cats and dogs.

Won an Awesome Artist award at school

Another basketball practice

Typical

When moma's lap isn't available, Momo will look around...

Cress loved this rock she found

Cress and I were in the car and were surprised by a knock at the window! Hey Marge!

Soccer- fall 2021

Let's make some magic happen!

To give me a break from the 'be her' game, John and Cressey have a new hobby of playing video games together. Sometimes Cressey sits and watches the game, sometimes she plays with dolls alongside John. But she drew this pic of them playing for "something good that happened." What a treasure!

Such a helpful kitty

I remember when HG did her first vertical jump...and now she does several in a row! Like a boss!

Love these two blondies
