Toohig Tidbits: August

"Those (plastic) knives are very translucent."

"Teamwork makes the dream work!"

"I spoke too soon..." (bubbles came back on the LOL doll)

"I just love horses" (as she's wiping away tears on the way to riding)

    -Cressey

August 19th- I heard the washer since its song, and I hadn't started a load. I looked at HG all confused, and she was like, "Wha?? I wanted to wear something tomorrow that needed to be washed." Since then, this miraculous event has happened at least three more times!!!!

When you are sharing a blanket with her and her movement causes it to shift, she'll always adjust it to make sure you are covered.

Blue is always near HG, even at bedtime

Endless fun with bubble wrap

There's nothing Cress can't fix. She's great with a screwdriver.

Aaaand my helpers tired out!

Sunny is pretty helpful too

A girls' day trip to Oxford

She wanted me to take this pic so we could see how much she'd grown later.

Again, Cress took over my job of sticking those felt pads on the bottom of this. "I'm little, I can do it!"

We ended up accidentally matching, and since she didn't run to change clothes, I had to document with a pic!

Date with Coats girls

Their first Proud Larry's meal

She's changing the batteries on her toy

She loves to brush my hair, and I'm always willing to oblige.

HG started early morning soccer practice the week school started, and I had to bribe a very sleepy Cressey to come along with some big girl playground time.

How soccer practice has changed!

So proud to be my helper!

The first day of school sure was exhausting!

Friday half day lunch with the Rebicks

A flash flood surprised us!

Brad Paisley at Live at the Garden

Lunch with cousin Ella

Parents' Night Out with the Ducks...trying to keep up with the cool 20-somethings that were Instagramming up on the rooftop

Oooooh, has she passed Grandma now?!

A little tennis practice

Sunny often roams around HG's room at bedtime. This night, we were tickled to death watching him as he fell off the edge of this chair and was hanging on for dear life!

Working in art class

We've had TWO of these visitors lately! The girls squeal and run around, but they don't hesitate to capture and then release (after a sweet pet, of course).

Almost got loose prematurely

This is NOT the cat that needed to get into the crate to go to a vet check up.

She wanted to clean up her school shoes because they were 'filthy'

I'm literally saying, "Don't you put a pic of me on the internet!"

Blue has been howling at the door to the garage for days after he went to a vet check up. One night, HG and I decided to take him on a ride around the neighborhood.

Learning how to make champion corn dip!

Momo is all up in my space, but at least I get kisses!

Mama's very full lap

They LOVE to check out at the grocery store

And love to make things out of cardboard and hot glue!

First CBHS football game!

Wrapped around my leg being silly

ALL READY for riding

Doesn't she look so grown up??

First junior high soccer game at 104 degrees!

Cress and I parked right at the fence and had a nice, cool seat with a view!

Chapel helpers

More bedtime antics- Sunny is trying to get Blue who is up in HG's sink

You see a theme with soccer games and Cressey...?

Live at the Garden with the Words for REO Speedwagon

HG had some of her girlfriends over one Saturday, and I loved them being all gathered around our island. Sweet girls!

John took HG to the pool while HG entertained her friends, and this was how she felt about the Jeep ride (and she may have been asleep for a bit).

Jumpin' Jellybeans for Avery's bday

Cress didn't want to trot for Ms. Susan, but when I asked her what Ms. Anna would want her to do, she sucked it up and did it!

FIRST TIME BOTH TOOHIG GIRLS HAVE BEEN IN THE RING TOGETHER! Cressey coming out, HG coming in...

She crawled in my bed to "watch tv," and she was soon snoring.

FIRST HOMEWORK- she was SO EXCITED!

HG had soccer practice in the rain

We arrived extra early at school for Meet the Teacher morning

This cat purrs more than any other cat I've ever seen

Cress spends a ton of time making "YouTube videos" of her playing with her toys. Her ipad is completely full of them.

And then she asked me to film this one for her YouTube channel, teaching people how to play with a fidget spinner.
