The Eldreds are always up for an adventure, so on an unusually cool June afternoon (after theatre camp for HG and swim lessons and VBS for them), we set off to explore the brand new safari park in Como, MS. It just opened in May and didn't disappoint! There is a huge area with giraffes to feed, a barn with goats and lambs to pet and feed, a camel ride area, and then what seems like a hundred acres of a safari park to drive through and feed the the animals. The kids were so brave and had so much fun with every animal, although they finally listened to my advice and rolled up the windows for those dang ostriches- they are mean! We laughed and laughed all day!
Turned out that the dirt was more fun that the giraffes
Cressey was literally DYING to ride the camel. We got her on one with Rowan, and she LOST HER MIND. They had to bring her back to me. She finally calmed down and said she wanted to ride in the front, so they put her on in the front seat with Lawson and HG behind her. She was much happier with that arrangement!
