This Wednesday rocked in the most fun and festive way. We started the day by hosting a play date with our Hope Moms group. HG was saying for days that that day was the day her friends were coming over, so when they finally showed up, she was over the moon. Christy Magnifico, babysitter extraordinaire, came to help entertain the kids, so the grown ups really got a chance to talk. Seeing that Baby Balderson #3 will be here in a week, that time to chat is really valuable!

John has been out of town for work this week, so on Wednesday night, Bubba, Spiffer, and Granddaddy entertained us with dinner at Holiday Ham and then a ride through Southern Lights. It’s again one of those holiday events that HG doesn’t remember from last year, and man, she really really liked it. We kept having to pull over and stop to watch different light displays. Since you practically crawl through the park, we let HG out of her car seat, and she lap hopped throughout the ride. Eventually, she landed in mine in the driver’s seat and loved getting to “drive.” I am sure we’ll make several more visits to Southern Lights before the end of the holiday season!
