On Saturday night, John and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary with dinner at Flight in downtown Memphis. When we picked a restaurant, we didn’t think about this being Memphis in May Music Fest weekend which means that things get CRAZY downtown. It turned out to be really entertaining. We got there early enough to avoid the heavy traffic and landed a window seat so we had the perfect spot for people watching. We had a wonderful dinner and dessert, and then we walked over to the Peabody, hoping to go up to the rooftop. When the elevator doors opened at the sky walk, we were greeted with a Memphis City School prom, so no viewing the Super Moon from the rooftop for us! We ended up meeting the Hudsons for a night cap at the University Club.
What a perfect night to celebrate this beautifully crazy life we’ve created together!
John was given some tickets to the Grizzlies’ play off game last week. I have to admit that I’m catching a little bit of the Grizz fever! Thanks to Granddaddy and Spiffer for babysitting into the very, very late night.
