Toohig Tidbits: December

While helping me wrap, Cressey told me, "You're my favorite helper. You help me a lot. And I still love you."

Cress was taking a bath in our tub while we had Christmas music playing. John comes in the room and sweeps me into a dance around the room. We look over at Cressey, and she breaks into a big grin and gives us a thumbs up!

Cressey told me, "You're my mommy and no one loves you more than me!"

During the Tinker Bell movie, Cress said, "I never saw that coming!"

Christmas tree is UP!!!!

SAA night at Novel

Cressey's teacher made these to hang outside their classroom so that the kids will know where to put their jackets.

One of the PK Christmas traditions is building a gingerbread house with your parent. As expected (and was encouraged), Cressey spent most of the time sampling all the ingredients!

Santa made an appearance at John's work party

Mary Chris was running in an early morning race in Memphis, so the whole family came to spend the night with us. The big girls all bunked up in HG's room, and I caught them reading a bedtime story together.

Breakfast of champions (donuts)

Our security camera caught this image of HG giving May May a lift to her car

Celebrating birthdays for Jeanne, Ryan, and CB

Ballet parent demonstration

Curtsy

Aaannd she shut down and wouldn't do anymore dance. HG went up there to try to encourage her, but Cressey was content to sit in her lap and watch her friends dance. It was adorable.

See Cressey's little hand on HG's back?

Cressey woke up one morning insistent on seeing Aunt Edie, so we were able to FaceTime her before school.

HG's class adopted a child in need and shopped for and then wrapped their presents.

Rare moments when Cress is able to play with abandon in the playroom while her sister isn't home

Daddy daughter date night for HG and John at the Grizzlies game- her second time to sit courtside!

Bubba's *almost* 97!

Hosts of our neighborhood holiday party- the calm before the doorbell started ringing!

She wrote her Irish cousins a letter, and this was her face when she got her first piece of mail back from Ireland!

Cressey's Christmas party

Love stumbling upon these little scenes Cressey sets up

HG's class Christmas party- reindeer games

John's work's family party

I vividly remember drawing on my daddy's office whiteboard too...

We made a little day trip down to Oxford to do our Christmas swap with our Moore cousins. To put it lightly, they were a LITTLE excited to see each other!

Cressey was not interested in pics, but the Oxford square at Christmas is beautiful!

Mama's turn for courtside tickets with John- and Brandon!

My little wrapping "helper"

Feeling a little clingy

Making slime at Grandma's house (who is much nicer than their mama who refuses slime in her house)

So after HG begged and begged, I finally gave in and got antlers and a Rudolph nose for my car. She LOVES it. Totally worth it.

Happy 7th birthday to Addie!

A little old school spin art for a quiet day at home. Well, it was quiet until Cress tilted her paint bottle and sent paint spraying all over HG and the floor behind her...

It was so warm over the holidays that we had a picnic

That gray blob is a Blue between us- it's unusual for him to snuggle!

Sweet sisters cooking together

"Big girls need big spoons"

Park play date!

A typical dinner out with a three year old

She had to rush back downstairs to give Spiffer a goodnight hug and kiss
