The next morning (October 29th), we hit Goofy’s Kitchen in our hotel for breakfast with John before he started his work day. Then, HG and I headed to California Adventure. Back to the dang swings again! We had the park to ourselves for the longest time, so we got to ride a lot of things pretty quickly. I somehow managed to get her on Soarin’, despite her understandable nerves/hesitation from the Harry Potter virtual ride; however, she LOVED it and insisted on riding it again immediately. (Thank you, Fast Pass)
As we took the trolley around, we stumbled onto a Frozen live show that started in an hour and a half. In a very ‘Disney’ turn of events, we ended up on the very front row. We were both so star struck! After a tour of Cars land, we headed back to the room for a quick change.
That night brought Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party at Disneyland, and John was done with work and able to join us. HG wore her Halloween costume, Hermione, and she helped me dress up like a kitty cat. We ate a quick dinner at Carnation Cafe on Main Street again and then hit the trick or treating trails. (They had several trails set up around the park where they had several candy stations along the way. And they had GOOD candy too!) We also stayed for the spooky parade at the end of the night, but then we quickly scooted back to the room to get ready for the 4:00 a.m. wake up call. Had to get home to see our Cress Monster!

These birds set the perfect eerie setting as we were walking into the Halloween party.

Back to Disneyland
My little travel assistant was so patient in the giant long check in line at 5:00 a.m.
But she was all tuckered out by the time we got home that afternoon
