While we were in Anaheim, Cressey had her Fall Fest at SAA, so thankfully, Spiffer and Granddaddy got her all spiffed up (even with a last minute email asking for ‘festive fall’ outfits- eek!) and to school to enjoy the festivities.
Halloween fell on Cressey’s Mullins’ day, and her classroom had a Wizard of Oz theme. Her teachers asked her to dress up as a ballerina from the Lullaby League, and she was more than happy to oblige. She’s worn this for weeks at home as we prepared, although she decided not to wear her ballet slippers that day. Still talking about her teacher’s green witch face! Thankfully, she wasn’t scared by it, just intrigued.
Later that day, I made it to SAA for HG’s class Halloween party…a game, a chocolate snack and eyeball punch, and SLIME.
Time to hit the streets for candy! HG is back as Hermione; Cressey as Snow White this time because she poured water all over her Elsa dress right before we left. It was hot and humid this year, and really bad weather threatened to rain on our parade (literally). We made it down several streets before the clouds let loose, although we were blocks away from our friends’ house. Even though we were drenched, Cressey still didn’t want to call it a night yet. She was dedicated (and sugar crazed)!
