Thanksgiving 2021: Alys

After missing Alys for fall break this year, we all decided we needed a beach fix, so we gave ourselves an Alys Beach Thanksgiving. No cooking, no cleaning, no hosting, just riding bikes and eating fish at the beach with lots of fresh ocean air and heated pools! We loved the change of pace and scenery, and in my opinion, there's no better time to be at the beach than when you can wear joggers and a sweatshirt and not sweat! We ate out for both meals on Thanksgiving day- once the traditional spread and once steaks. The Christmas decorations were in full effect, and the Alys tree lighting was the Friday after Thanksgiving. We were even able to get letters off to Santa! I think we might have a new tradition!

We are off! (we left town after school on Tuesday and then picked up Grandma on our way, so it was a LATE arrival to Florida)

Bless Grandma's heart who was much nicer than mama

Cressey was in the (heated) pool AT ALL TIMES. Turns out that we actually stayed in this house years ago before HG was born, and since then, they've added a pool. It was the most amazing gift for this water loving little girl.

Cressey has missed her turtles so much!

Happy dance

I love following these little ladies around on their bikes. They know their way all over Alys.

We've missed you, beach!

Oooohhh, I've missed you, Miami Vice!

Cressey loves a 'strawberry milkshake,' a virgin daiquiri

Grandma is happy!

Is it a vacay meal if Cressey isn't laying in someone's lap?

Aaaannd she's gone...

Thanksgiving lunch at Cuvee

And we ran into Whitney!!!

And we had dinner at Paradis in Rosemary

She loved her reindeer pose (from the Nutcracker)

Breakfast on the balcony

HG's version of 'breakfast'

Pics from the cat sitter

La Crema fondue, of course!

Very sad she had to release her shell critters on our last night

Surprise, cold water!

Clingy bb girl found mama while I was packing
