Cressey has been taking ballet classes after school with Children's Ballet Theatre this semester. They had the option to participate in the holiday Nutcracker performance at the Cannon Center as the cutest reindeer that ever were. Buoyed by her classmates participating with her, she was thrilled to be a reindeer! During the Friday afternoon dress rehearsal, I realized that we weren't quite clear of the stage jitters, so I volunteered to be a backstage 'chaperone' for the Sunday performance and was able to hold her hand and get her on that stage without (too many) tears. Afterward, she was so proud of herself and proclaimed, "I wanna do that again!!!"
