Tennessee Stay-cation Day

June was super busy and overprogrammed, so we all enjoyed a few laidback, lazy days in early July. But finally, after almost a week of laying around, I was determined to get the girls off their iPads and off on an adventure. Since it was SO HOT, we ditched my idea of a hike and headed to the Discovery Park of America in Union City, TN. Helen Grace had been there years ago, but it was Cressey's first time. They blew through it in less than two hours, so after lunch and a very HOT run around the playground, we decided to head home by way of the Safari Park of Tennessee in Alamo, TN. We laughed and squealed at the aggressive ostriches, oohed and aahed over all the baby animals, and had a hard time saying bye to some of the llamas and deer. My car will never be the same due to the animal feed scattered all over and the slobber covering the windows (we all went STRAIGHT to the shower), but we had so much fun on our little stay-cation adventure!

See Cressey up top in the aqua dress? She decided not to do the slide down, but HG did!

No worries, camel; we'll just wait right here until you decide to move

This baby camel was born THAT MORNING!

This guy was a PRO at stealing feed buckets

Ok, that's enough, mister!

We started out with 8 feed buckets....

HG didn't want to leave this baby kid
