Cressey's First TBall Game

On April 26th and after a handful of practices, Cressey had her first tball game. We played at Holy Rosary, and while Cress had been pretty excited about it (especially after being at her sister's game all afternoon), she got a little nervous when we pulled up to a new place with a lot of people milling around. We had to divide and conquer that night with two girls in games at two places at the same time, so Spiffer and I were Cressey's cheering section. We reminded her that parents are really only watching their own child, and I told her the only rules for that night were that she have fun and got really dirty. Surprisingly, she lit up at the idea of getting dirty! Once she saw her teammates arriving, she was so excited to take her bag over to the 'dugout' and get all her accessories on.

At this age, they basically just let each team bat twice and work the field twice. She was pumped when it was her turn up at bat. She hit it and immediately started running to third base! The coaches initially tried to stop her and then just let her happily run. When she made it there, they directed her to first base. It didn't seem to dampen her spirits whatsoever- she proudly waved at us and smiled from ear to ear!

She was so proud of herself at the end of the night and jumped up and down over and over. She's really excited about getting back out on the field again soon!

The run to third, I mean first

Running home for the first time!

After her first turn at bat, she had to come over and jump up and down with me and Spiffer

How she spent most of her field time...she likes to talk like her mama
