Mother's Day on the Farm

We decided to take a laidback approach to Mother's Day this year and booked reservations at Cedar Hill Farm. It rained all night Saturday and during the morning Sunday, and we were constantly watching the radar. We saw a break in the rain around 11:00, so we decided to try to make a go of it. I'm so glad we did because it didn't rain a bit while we were there, and the girls had a BLAST running and playing amongst the mud! I brought rainboots, towels, and a change of clothes, so we were all happy on the ride home.

As we sat down for our brunch in the cafe, I asked if they served mimosas. The waitress told me it was BYOB which I had not read in the fine print of the emails, but not to fear- Grandma to the rescue! As her gift to me and Spiffer (and unknowingly about the BYOB clause), she had gifted us a cooler with a cold bottle of orange juice, a small bottle of bubbly, and an adorable insulated cup! We laughed and laughed at how perfect it was!

We all were filthy by the end of our day but also felt happy and loved on our special day!

Look how much HG has grown over the years!

Cress was not keen on trying the zip line, but HG was able to get her on it once as long as she walked beside her the whole time.
