For Fall Break 2020, we headed back to Alys with our dear friends, the Fiks. While we were expecting some terrible weather from a hurricane (I even brought a huge bag of crafts and games for rainy day activities), we woke up each morning to see that the rainy forecast had miraculously cleared overnight. We had one day of afternoon rain showers (while we sat under umbrellas at the pool) and one morning of crazy wind at the beach, but we couldn't have asked for a better turn of a weather forecast! Now that the babies are a bit older, we tried a beach bonfire which was a big hit, and we spent most evenings hunting for crabs on the beach because the girls were SAVAGES! So much fun!
Why not travel in your pajamas??

We made it in time for dinner at George's!
And to put our feet in the sand! We were worried this would be our only chance to do this without rain...
The next morning, Cressey woke up to find that Poppy had arrived!
An absolutely majestic sunset on the beach for our bonfire night!
Donuts by the pool. What else could you need?
We finally found the turtle park this time!
John was picking on Cressey about trying to steal her toys, so she hid them under a towel and then made that 'I'm watching you' hand motion from John to her. We just about died! So funny!
Cressey fell in love with strawberry daquiris
Cuddles with Ms. Katie
They DID NOT want to pose this year, but as we pulled out of town, I finally talked them into cooperating.

When it's rainy, your mask could work as a rain bonnet too...
HG started this project during quarantine, and I used the 16 hours in the car to finally finish it. Team effort!
