Cressey calls a shirt a ‘shirk’ and tip toes ‘tee toes.’
She’s finally figured out how to get a tricycle going.
She’s become OBSESSED with Elsa and all things Frozen. When I was laying down next to her, trying to get her to go to sleep, she put her little hands on my cheeks and whispered, “Do you wanna build a snowman?” (like when Anna wakes up Elsa)
July 2: With Cress in my lap, I hollered at John, “I have a question!” And she repeated me, “Question!” I laughed and said, “What, are you a parrot?!” And then she sqwaked at me!
As HG sat on the floor and got dressed one morning, she was surrounded by a pile of clothes. Cressey walked over and saw it, and she said, “Oh no! What a mess!,” and started cleaning it up. HG was thrilled!
Cressey and I were on our front porch one afternoon. Our across-the-street neighbor parked on the street and walked toward his house. Cressey waved and yelled, “Heeeey!,” and he waved back. She kept gibbering at a normal volume, and when he didn’t respond, she angrily yelled, “You hear me?!”
When I picked up Cress from school one day, she told me, “Cressey cry!” I asked her why, and she said, “Miss mama!,” and then threw her little arms around my neck and said, “I wuv you!”
Her 9 year old check up had an unexpected finger prick which we didn’t know about and she was REALLY mad about!

Cressey had a water slide at Mullins one day. I told her teacher to make her try it, thinking she would love it. She wasn’t such a fan.
Wedding date with the Ducks
Cressey was carrying a bowl of dry Cheerios. I heard her spill it, so I stepped around the corner to see how bad it was. I found her laying on her tummy chewing and asked her what she was doing. She showed me how she was cleaning up…
You know you’re really tired when you can fall asleep like this in a Jeep.
Happy girl walking into Mullins

She LOVES to drive at Kroger
Dinner date with Rachel and Courtlyn
Trying out the carousel at the Children’s Museum with the Ducks. She was only happy if she had me in a headlock.

Running to Grandma’s
Celebrating Emmaline’s birthday
She was disappointed because she thought I said we were going on a “boat,” not going to “vote.”
Always nice to come around the corner and find this
Fun at Little Gym
Shopping for school shoes. I was so nervous she was going to throw a fit, but this lady (and Helen Grace) really got it done easily!
We met Spiffer and Granddaddy at McAlister’s for dinner. HG and Cressey were pretending they were hostesses at a restaurant, said there were “no reservations,” and this gate was their way of keeping us out. Cressey was having the best time copying everything HG said, whether she understood it or not. We were dying!
Sometimes you just have to send them to school in their pajamas, right? Gotta pick your battles (although HG was mortified!)
Back to school haircut. She has planned all summer on getting her hair cut “just like Mama.”
And Ms. Micah got Cressey’s hair up in pig tails on the same day. It was a miracle!
How many times did me and my cousins climb through this window at Bubba’s?
Zoo with the Harts who were in town from Nashville
Sometimes it's hard to be productive with a toddler in the house, and at times, she demands that you just sit down and enjoy the moment.
Sometimes Mama just isn’t enough
