Cressey has become obsessed with Frozen. When she is trying to get your attention, she will occasionally holler, “Yooohoo!,” like the Norwegian guy in the movie.
I often say “shoot a monkey” when I drop something, etc., and Cressey has started parroting me sometimes, screaming, “Monkey!!”
We often are awakened by Cressey hollering, “Sun’s out!,” in the monitor. Even if the sun hasn’t risen yet, if she’s awake, she thinks the sun is up. Also, she’s noticed that some mornings the sky is pink as the sun rises when we come downstairs, so she’ll ask if the sky/sun is pink.
When she wants you to pick her up, she’ll say, “Hold you!”
When reading a story to Cress at bedtime about a dragon, I asked her, “Are you a dragon?” She quickly said, “No, I’m a princess!”
One afternoon after SAA, Cressey shook my hand and said, “Nice to meet you!”
HG, Cress, and I were in the car after school, and Cressey did something that was so funny to HG and me. HG laughed in a moment of realization and said, “Now I understand why you and Daddy would laugh at me when I didn’t say anything I thought was funny!”
I don’t usually have Cressey with me when I work out, but when she is at home and awake, she’s very interested in participating. I was doing a plank, and she backed up that little booty right underneath me. So funny!

Homework again. HG was super sweet to set up this entertainment pad for Cressey to play with her while she did her homework. Nice to see them peacefully cohabitating.
Cressey went with me to HG’s meet the teacher one morning before school, and she was an angel for 45 minutes. I couldn’t have been more proud. When we passed HG on her way to class, Cress got a sweet hug and kiss.
Finally a happy morning “back to school” pic at Mullins. Third week is a charm.
HG’s soccer coach gave out headbands to players that really worked hard in practice, and she earned one! We had a quick dinner date afterward.
Mama’s crowded lap
One morning as we loaded up to get to school, we were surprised to find my car battery dead. We all switched over to the Jeep for carpool, and this was the only minute of that 20-minute round-trip drive that Cressey wasn’t screaming, “Too windy!”
Always loading up on accessories
Ice cream after-school date with SK
I think Cress liked her ice cream
I love seeing this view and know we’ll see it countless more times over the years.
At bedtime, Cress wants everyone to walk her upstairs to bed.
