Taking Care of Business

As our summer rolled to a close, Helen Grace and I chose to spend one of our last day dates together by going to Graceland. I’ve been once years ago and think it’s important for local Memphians to experience Elvis’ Graceland, especially since people come from all over the world to see it! HG appreciates his music too, so she was on board. It was hot as blazes that day, but she was a good sport and we stopped for lunch or ice cream between sweltering trips outside. She loved signing the wall and hearing all the accents of other visitors from around the world.

She was too impatient to wait for a room by room tour, so she watched most of it before we even got on the bus to go over to the house.

She was in shock over the Jungle Room especially.

She loved this pic of us and insisted we buy it, so of course, I handed over my credit card for the most expensive picture ever.

She saw someone signed from Ireland, so she added the ‘In memory of Peggy.’
