“My legs are wore-d OUT!” I am going to be really sad when she starts getting all these verb tense things figured out. It’s so cute!
HG will not accept that the correct words for her prayer are not, "Thank you, Lord, for our daily breast."
She incessantly asks when she can get a puppy. I finally told her she could get one when she goes to college. She was ecstatic- “THANK YOU, MOMMY!!!!” When she finds out how far away that is, she is NOT going to be happy. At least I'll enjoy her temporary thrill and appreciation.
When she talks about Delta Gammas, she calls them ‘Gamma girls’ and the ‘Gamma house.’
She constantly asks you to tell her stories from the past- either yours or hers. I will often hear her own renditions of Grandma’s or Spiffer's childhood stories. For example, when Spiffer was a little girl, a big painting of her great grandfather fell off the wall and scared her to death. HG told me that a picture of her great-great-Bubba fell off the wall and went, “Kaploomb!!” If you run out of stories, she says it’s fine to just make it up.
She’s started repeating a sarcastic little, “Hell-o!!,” as in a ‘duh!’ John and I can’t help but laugh.
She now wants to go back and forth with you over “Love you,” “Love you more,” and “Love you most.”
She saw a Brave bow and arrows set at Disneyland, and she must ask once a day for one for her birthday. (It’s now grown to wanting Merida’s dress, crown, and sometimes even the wig.) We often have to run around the house as alligators or {insert some wild animal here} with her chasing us with an imaginary bow and arrows.
She is hyper focused on if cartoons or characters are real or not. When she saw the Easter Bunny at school, she explained that he was ‘human,’ and she will always ask about princesses or other people in her movies.
We are in the middle of a bathroom renovation project, and she’s suddenly very interested in watching home makeover shows with me. She gets excited when she sees them using levers on the show or when she sees them laying tile. She’ll tell me how they do each process. Maybe she’ll catch the architecture bug??
