Today, Bubba, Spiffer, Helen Grace and I headed down to God’s country to have lunch with Mere Mere and visit St. Peter’s pumpkin patch. We tried the new-to-Oxford McEwen’s and got the best table in the place- the circular booth at the front window. HG was entertained (and contained) by people watching the entire meal. We all had chicken salad and shared banana cream pie. Dee-lish! After lunch, Ryves stopped by (he’s in Oxford this month for a med school rotation), and we walked down to St. Peter’s. Although she’s been talking about going to the ‘punkin patch’ for days, Helen Grace wasn’t as eager to explore as she was last year, but we still had fun checking out all the different sizes and shapes of pumpkins. After Mere Mere and Ryves had to go back to class/work, HG found the First Pres playground and frolicked for a little bit and then we headed back home. Great day with the Moore ladies!
Ryves thought it’d be fun to give Helen Grace a ride on his shoulders, but she did NOT agree.
