Sweetest Words

Other than “Love you,” I heard the sweetest words from Helen Grace tonight. I was getting Helen Grace out of the bath tub, and she wanted to bring some bath toys with her. I asked her, “Do you want me to get the blue ring?,” and she responded, “Yes, me.” That was as close as we’ve ever gotten to a “Yes, ma’am.” Whenever I try to correct her “Yes” with a “Yes, ma’am,” she normally just nods her head. But at last- an attempt to say it! She must know that Mommy is quickly tiring of her new favorite word, “NOW!,” and thought I’d take that easier if she threw in a little sweetness. Whatever it is, I’ll take it!
