This fall, Cressey has been taking ballet classes with a very small group of her classmates at a friend's house or our house after school. It's been the perfect way to still have a fun extracurricular activity during this weird year. On the 19th, they gave the parents a little demonstration of all that they've learned this semester. In true Cressey fashion, she was extremely hesitant and teary at the beginning, but after her friends' parents promised to cover their eyes and her classmates and teacher agreed to do the dance with her, she pulled herself together and got out there- and never looked back! Whew!
When it rains at the barn, what else is there to do but make a shower out of a sopping wet tree?
When your sister is 11, it's her civic duty to teach you Tik Tok dances.
Blue is a big fan of a slinky apparently. Lots of cackling from the girls too.
No idea where this one gets her sassiness
When mama tries to brush their hair, they act like they are in serious pain. But when they decide to be nice and brush each other's hair, they love it.
John was picking on Cressey about trying to steal her toys, so she hid them under a towel and then made that 'I'm watching you' hand motion from John to her. We just about died! So funny!
When Cressey and I were at Spiffer's one day, she went into Spiffer's china cabinet, pulled out tea cups, and started setting the table. She went on to have a tea party for the whole family!
There was a truck at the neighborhood gate that was blocking traffic, and from the backseat, Cressey says, "He was having a situation!"
Cressey likes to say that she was born in heaven.
Cressey asked, "We don't have to do anything today???" Looking up, "Thank goodness, God! God is so nice!"
HG was having trouble getting her earring back in her ear, and Cressey hollered toward the bathroom, "Make sure to be brave!"
When Cress woke up, she asked, "Where's the preteen?"
I sat down at the kitchen table for breakfast between the two girls who were having a rather lively interchange. Cressey asked me, "Mommy, can you block her face?!"
Cressey was Star of the Week and had to take pics of where she took her teacher bitmojis!
Trying on her Vamparina costume...what can't be captured in a picture is the theme song that sings loudly anytime you push that skull button at the neckline!
Can't get that crown off her head!
OOPSIE!
John was working on his home office set up for work conference calls, and before we knew it, Cressey ran upstairs and plopped herself in the shot!

It's a tradition for the sixth grade girls to perform the living rosary, and we were so thankful that the teachers found a way to make it happen despite this crazy new world. They streamed it on Zoom so that we could all see it. HG was Mary in this scene and had a speaking part in the intro.
Brandy and I tried to go to brunch but couldn't find any places that weren't too crowded, so we got Sonic drinks, placed a to go order, and ate in the car!
