Spring Break 2019: Do we have to leave? Dolphins & Sunsets

We started our last day, Monday the 11th, slowly with some sweet sister tv snuggles while John explored and saw the sunrise. I forgot to mention that Daylight Savings Time fell on that Saturday night, and while I initially panicked about the transition, it ended up being fine and a nice chance to sleep 'an hour later.' (Whatever that means with two kids!)

At the girls' request, we hit the beach first thing and stayed there through lunch until nap time. Once Cressey was snoozing, HG and I headed back to Dolphin Cay for Hang Time with the dolphins. We loved it! It ended up just being the two of us with a trainer, and he gave us a tour of the backstage buildings, set up, etc., and then we got to walk into the habitat and help feed the dolphins. I was also able to bring my own camera, so I got a ton of pics and videos. This was so much more interactive than the Dip 'n Discover, and we would definitely do it again.

For dinner, we decided to stay close to home (no shuttle) and walked over to the Mosaic in the Cove. It's a HUGE buffet with lots of cuisine choices and PIZZA and all kinds of other kid-friendly options. Dessert spread was amazing too. We wished that we had tried it sooner because we loved it so much, but we laughed that we probably would have never ventured out to try other stuff.

As we left dinner, the sun was starting to set, so we rushed to the beach and frolicked in the surf until all the light had faded away. What a wonderful end to the trip!

Our return trip was just as "easy" as our flights there, and we had John with us to help this time so it was even better! She didn't zone into the video player like last time, but she was easily enough to entertain. Man, it sure makes a difference with Cressey being old enough to understand how to yawn and pop her ears.

We loved Atlantis for the proximity (short flights, just one hour time change, etc.), beautiful beaches and pools that were close to the hotel, updated and elegant suite accommodations, plenty of entertainment for the kids, and delicious restaurants. We will definitely be back!
