Helen Grace and I decided to strike out to Oxford for Bid Day on Sunday, Sept. 30th. This was to be Helen Grace’s very first time to experience the excitement (and chaos) of girls running down the hill to the house, and she wanted to hear every detail of my own experience years ago. We found a great spot on a balcony to watch ‘the run,’ and I believe it lived up to all the hype I had shared. Plus we were able to snag a piece of the famous anchor cake, so it was an official success! The Coats girls came as well, so once they arrived, they ran off and disappeared like they owned the house. Love that she knows her way around it.
