“I have a glitter on my eye when I tell a lie, so my friends always know when I’m lying.”
“William. He’s trouble, right? Mischief. And his brother. He’s the sweet one!”
“Keep up with the times, Mama!”
A sign you might be a child of 2015… HG asked me, “Like we are called the USA, what are Russia’s initials?” When I explained they are just Russia (she wasn’t satisfied with the former USSR explanation), she said, “So they don’t have a username?”
While watching a Taylor Swift video, I said, “That boy isn’t very smart.” She responded, “Mama, no boys are smart!”
In New York, she saw the cemetery name of St. Michael and said, “There goes another saint!”
At school drop off, HG said, “I can’t believe I get to go to the big girl school now. I really love my school so much!”
Olivia’s mom, Claire, had lunch at school with the girls and texted me this HG quote. “When I go to college, I’m going to have a midnight snack!” (I told her once how cool Susan and I thought it was freshmen year that we could leave in the middle of the night to get a Krystal burger!)
Further proof HG is not my child but again her daddy’s. She gets super excited on PE days.
Meredith and Selena Kate (and Uncle Rod and Aunt Sharon) came to visit for an Ole Miss game! We met them at McAlister’s as they got to town. The girls big and small had a big time goofing around.
As told by HG: Mere Mere came, and we had funny pictures. And we had the best time there, and my cousin Selena came. I saw my friend there (Isaiah), so I saw like three friends. He has a cute little brother (Eli).
This is a normal morning in the Toohig household. All dressed up in mama’s shoes and jewelry.
Ready for school picture day
She loves some Hank!
Peek a boo!
Helping Spiffer bake for Thanksgiving
She’s a happy girl, double fisted with boiled custard (‘sweet milk’) and Granddaddy’s sweet tea
This cat can’t get close enough.
“Helping” put up the Christmas tree
And she’s now lost it.
Such a mean little boss
She put on approximately three ornaments before she lost interest.
She threw the DG sign when she saw one of my DG ornaments.
Daddy crowning the tree with the star. Now Mama needs a nap.
