We hit the ground running on Wednesday morning, starting with a check up at the dentist. She was a little apprehensive but got up on the table, laid down, and let the hygienist do her whole bit. She was quite proud of herself. We have braces in our future due to her overbite, but we got the a-ok for clean teeth! Being the sweet guy that Dr. Coleman is, he immediately opened up the prize she chose, a pink duck call, so that she could play with it on the way home. Isn’t he a doll? (gritting my teeth while he laughed)
Next, I surprised her with a trip to Hairlines to get her hair trimmed up before school starts. Again, she wasn’t thrilled but hopped up in the chair and was pleased to stare at herself in the mirror for a while. She earned a cupcake as a reward so that kept her happy too.
Afterward, we went to see Bubba for lunch, along with Spiffer and Granddaddy. Thanks to the morning rain shower, there was plenty of mud to play in the backyard. Can’t take the Mississippi out of the girl, right?!
She found my jewelry box later that afternoon, and Daddy came home from work to find her playing dress up from it. Cute little diva!
