Thursday, September 17th, was the senior cheer dinner for the girls and their parents at Roundtable. The juniors and their parents planned it and served dinner, and each senior received the traditional senior gift of a handmade fleece blanket, as well as a monogrammed IKEA moving bag and a framed pic of the seniors on the Brothers Walk. Coach Jenna said a few words about the seniors, and that was the first time that I teared up a good bit. Loved hearing how much our girl was loved. It was all so sweet and perfect.
The next night, Friday the 18th, was their senior cheer night at the CBHS game against Montgomery Bell (as well as the band's). At the cheer tailgate at the bell tower, their little sisters were revealed. They were chosen randomly, and HG's little sisters were Chloe and Margaret! She was so excited! The seniors wore their senior jerseys during the first half, and then we walked across the field with her at halftime. They were able to shed their jerseys to cheer for the second half. (It was as hot as the surface of the sun) All her grandparents- and Cressey!- were there to cheer her on. Such a special night to celebrate our seniors.
