Toohig Tidbits: February

Cressey was pretty tickled to ride Flurry in the snow

The first day after the ice that school was open, I made HG ride to school with us. She hadn't been with us for the morning commute in almost a year. Getting out at lower school wasn't high on her list though!

HG has spent a lot of time and energy and emotions kissing all the frogs and trying to find a new horse. We went to Ocala where she tried 11 horses in two days. I was worried she'd never recover! But she found her new love. Meet Sutton Place. (His barn name was Ham, so he'll be Ham or Sutton) This is when he arrived at Spring Mill for his trial. Fresh off the trailer which traveled through all the remnant snow and ice.

This crazy Blue cat will meow back to Cressey like I've never seen him do with anyone else. It is usually when they are in our bathroom after Cressey's shower. He waits right here in the tub for her.

Mamas' night out while our girls went to a Galentine's event at school. Thank goodness for this group of mamas!

FOMO- he's always watching

One day at Meet in the Middle (gathering of the SAA lower school), the lower school dean Jenn mentioned St. Julie Billard, who Cressey had done a report on. Cressey was so excited that she mentioned it to Jenn afterward, who told her she could speak at Meet in the Middle the next week to share what she had learned. She wondered/ worried about it for days, but ultimately, SHE DID IT! We were so proud of her!

John at work

John, HG, and I took a quick trip to NYC to work on the condo and left Cressey with grandparents to have fun instead. It was a QUICK trip with no fun time, but we got so much done and enjoyed being together.

When we got off the plane in Atlanta and were heading for our connection, we saw a lady holding a phone with John's name on it right as we stepped off the plane. Like where the staff wait for handicapped customers, etc. We were confused and were shocked when she said, "Come with me," and then walked out the door and down the stairs to the tarmac. WHAT?!?!? There was a car waiting for us, and she drove us to our next gate!!! One of the benefits of John traveling so much! We were gobsmacked! The Delta lady couldn't have been nicer.

HG's friend Evelyn was in NYC that same weekend with her parents, so they met for mass at St. Patrick's.

After a day of work, we treated ourselves to the rigatoni at La Pecora Bianca.

Cressey has learned how to do the basic crochet stitch but couldn't figure out how to do the next step, so I signed us up for a crochet class. She was SO EXCITED! And now she's figured it out and is ON FIRE!
