Kicking off the year of celebrating St. Agnes' 175th year with a mass on St. Agnes' feast day
Grizz game with the Adams, the night a huge winter storm was supposed to blow into town
Sure enough, we woke up to a thick sheet of ice that look deceivingly like snow
John took first sledding rotation, and I took this pic out the window from the warm house!
Snow cream, but very crunchy since it was icy snow
As it kept sleeting all weekend, big mounds of ice formed against houses and behind garages. It's been a challenge to figure out how to dig out the ice mounds to get your car out of the garage- it's as hard as concrete!
HG walked over to Chace's house
And then they came back here!
Sadly, Oxford got all ice and no snow, and the ice was devastating. This is our condo complex, and we were out of power for 7 days. Looks like the ice storm of 1994 in Memphis.
HG got a little practice driving in the ice
I did a little sledding too, and a neighbor was nice enough to document!
This is Sweetbrier- thick sheet of ice. And it stayed so cold for so many days that nothing melted. The girls ended up being out of school for 6 days.
First time to get Nutrition Bar in a week!
Some QT with K!
We made it to mass and then ate lunch OUT! Cressey got the baby in the king cake at Rotolo's!
