One morning in March, John took HG car shopping, and I took Cressey bike shopping!

For some reason, she just woke up one day and showed some interest in figuring out how to ride a bike. She was excited about getting a new bike that was her size, so we went with that enthusiasm and let her pick out a bright blue one. She couldn't wait to get home and give it a whirl!

Even the cats were invested in what was going on outside

It took two hours, two parents' instructions, and two drinks, but the girl finally got going and never stopped! (The key was that John got her moving down a very slight hill and THEN got her feet on pedals. I was trying to push off from the pedal to start moving.)

SHE WAS SO PROUD OF HERSELF! "I can do anything!!!"

Fun night seeing Neonmooners at Nashoba and got to meet Justin Moore (from Ingram Hill) after all these years- I was so excited!

We keep this calendar by the door, and once we get into our semester routine, I don't always keep it terribly up to date. But I noticed that Cressey apparently looks at it and wants it to be correct!

Last shot with her baby smile

Cressey needed to have four baby teeth pulled to make room for the permanent teeth coming in above them, and then Dr. B let her choose if she wanted any wiggly teeth (four more) pulled while she was asleep. And she quickly said YES- anything to avoid pulling her own teeth! She was decently nervous about it- lots of questions that I did not answer directly- but she handled it alright in the days before. We chose to do it at Dr. B's office so it was familiar for her, and they have a pediatric anesthesiologist that comes to the office for procedures. They were FABULOUS. Her nerves took over that morning, and she cried all the way to the office and in the waiting room. Then the peds anesth guys started talking to her so much beforehand that she calmed down, and then they played Taylor Swift and danced with her down the hall to the room. She went with them willingly and calmly. They used gas at first, then IV, and she didn't even know about the IV until she was in the car afterward and asked why she had a bandaid. Highly recommend!

She sent this brave pic of her new smile to her friends later that day. It was a little rough for the next day or so as she learned to talk and eat with her new mouth and healing got started, but she figured it out and now tells her friends that it wasn't bad at all.
The Tooth Fairy was NICE to her
We hosted a school fundraising dinner, and I'm just so proud of my high school/ college buddy Andy.
