Toohig Tidbits: February

Never know what you'll find when you walk into the den

Miss SAA dance for the girls

Ms. Carley made sure to get a selfie from the party for me

I got to pick them up afterward, and I wondered if it might be the last time I get to drive them to a dance??? We drove through McDonald's afterward, and you would have thought they'd won the lottery- easy to please!

Cressey and I went to see Migration, and we were in awe of the fancy kick back seats!

HG is one of the chairs for the freshman spirit week team, and she had the banner committee meeting in our garage for a week painting the freshman banner. It was fun to see her in action (both organizing and painting) and getting to visit with the girls who came to paint. It was a little sad and very exciting when the banner officially headed to school!

Lower school grandparents day

HG had to run to Grandma's office to check out a sore throat

HG pleading her case to her daddy for something, who knows

John, Cressey, and I went to lunch, and I was TICKLED PINK to see her bring in a book to read.

Determined to get Cressey to learn to ride a bike. She's all but refused to try up until now, so it took a little coercing for her to even entertain the idea. But when the bike shop helped us find one to practice on and took the wheels off to make it into a balance bike, she started to get excited. She rode in the garage all weekend since it was raining outside.

She sent me this very sweet message of thanks, and it was amazing.

We went to go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Playhouse on the Square

This Blue cat loves to stretch but will only do it with HG

Trying to learn mahjong for a fun galentines' night in the neighborhood

The big banner reveal! Frozen is the freshman theme

Ash Wednesday mass at school

Poor baby shark didn't stand a chance

We lost our sweet neighborhood mascot kitty Jack on Valentine's night. It broke all of our hearts. HG left some flowers for him.

Guide dogs came to visit SAA

Presidents Day weekend in Oxford

Still excited to practice on her balance bike

Shenanigans

Pickleball is a new favorite too (and that just means hitting a pickleball back and forth to each other, no rules)

We brought breakfast to the freshmen for early morning skit practices

And then this big girl wanted to walk from Siena where we dropped off sis to the lower school doors all by herself!

That sunset was on FIRE

Helping me with MAW letters

Dress Like a Teacher Day- stylish Mrs. Turner

And the teachers were dressed like students! I laughed all day just thinking about driving up and seeing this scene!

Mrs. Turner and her twin

Sunny was not interested in wearing HG's tutu

Grizz game with the Peelers

John left town for work and I found this love note right where it matters the most to me!

She's a happy girl!

She has loved sitting on this rock in our yard since she was itty bitty

I'll take any excuse to be up at school and appreciating our teachers

She's getting so good that her coach moved the target back

School fundraiser night at Belly Acres

Character Day- Mrs. Frizzle and her lizard

Cressey chose to be a fire Air Bender for Character Day. She kept trying her costume on the days before the school day.

And she's READY
