Back to School Night

As soon as we returned to reality from mountain paradise, it was time to prepare for back to school. First, Registration Night! Helen Grace starts 5th grade, and Cressey starts PK (three full days and two half days). I had to go to a child-free meet the teacher meeting before the general registration night and then was stationed in HG's classroom for room mom stuff for a bit, so our teacher/ babysitter SEB brought the girls up to school for me. Cressey had the best time dragging SEB around the lower school and both playgrounds, but Cress was soon begging to go down to the ECC to meet her new teacher, Ms. Sarah. As we made our way across campus, she ran into both her buddies Norah and Presley which made her REALLY happy. Norah continued on with us to Ms. Sarah's room since she had her last year, and with her friend's support, she rolled up into that classroom like she was the boss. We had to drag her out of there finally with the promise of dinner from a food truck. Successful start to a great year!

For the record, HG wouldn't pose for a pic near her locker, in her classroom, etc., so this is the best I could get.
