Little Gym is still a highlight of C’s week
Horses came to visit C’s school
Morning wake up sissy time
I got to school to pick up Cressey one day, and they told me she was in the office. I panicked for a second, and then they explained that she wouldn’t sleep so the director scooped her up and took her into the office so she wouldn’t wake her classmates. After some social time with the director, she finally just fell over asleep, and I found her snoring away while the office was full of parents and teachers.
Author Jack Gantos visited SAA and signed HG’s book
I noticed John had laid his wedding ring on top of mine on the kitchen counter one night. I thought it was a pretty typical snapshot of our life right now yet also pretty profound that the rings were surrounded by third grade homework, drugstore bags, etc. I’m so lucky to have him to walk through both the mundane and awe-inspiring days.
Rare moment when I hold a sleeping baby
HG collected leftover Halloween candy from her classmates, and they donated it to her dentist who sent it overseas to our troops.
Monkey see, monkey do
PwC girls’ dinner
A rare morning when a) we were ready early, b) HG’s hair is done up with a bow, and c) HG let me take a pic of her all dressed up
Cress loves to get into HG’s headbands
Little sissies waiting outside the door for big sissies to come out
Cousin love
First ice cream cone (It was as much of a disaster as it looks like it was, but she was so happy that I couldn’t take it away)
Sharing an apple
Happy girl at school
Another happy girl at school- field trip to see Peter Pan
Madeline is the best babysitter- SAA night at Novel
A typical snapshot of the floorboard of my car. Thankful for all those toesies.
A school friend snapped this of HG helping to harvest the garden at school
HG came to Little Gym one morning when she was out of school
First slide for Cress- she’s even more of a daredevil than we knew
We took the kitties to the vet, and HG convinced me to let them out of their carrier on the way home. Blue was too scared to come out, but Mocha was everywhere (annoying).
Grizzlies game with the Ducks
HG’s class had a service project at an assisted living facility where the girls were introduced to a ‘pal’ for the day and had some talking points and gifts to share, put on a talent show, ate lunch, and played Bingo. HG’s part of the show was to lead the pledge of allegiance and sing God Bless America, as well as help emcee the show. I was SO PROUD of how kind, polite, and outgoing she was with her pals. Her teacher did an excellent job of preparing them.
When we were playing out in the front yard one fall morning (after Cressey’s first Owen Brennan brunch), John grabbed his camera to snap some playful shots.
