Last mama-daughter day of summer: First, to get a new strap for HG’s guitar. This was a really famous/ valuable guitar that the shop owner let her hold.

And pedis, of course!
I can’t remember what they were talking about, but I’m sure there will be many more kitchen counter convos like this is the next 10 years.
Playing with this curtain is one of her favorite things.
First day of school was a half day, so we met some friends for lunch.

First day of PDO for 2017-2018 school year (although she’d been once this summer). Good thing I got a cute pic this summer because she was not cooperative this day.
But look what they got her to do- nap on a mat! And for a decent period of time! Miracle workers
Loves to run the halls afterward

Snuggling with Reagan Eldred. We saw her in the hospital on the day she was born, and HG got major baby fever. She was dying to get to hold her, so she was on cloud nine (when she took a Nerf gun fight break with Lawson and Rowan).
Cress tried to get her out of this thing.

Almost-total solar eclipse: August 21, 2017. It was partially cloudy that day, but the clouds parted enough to let us see the cheshire cat smile at the point of totality.
We’ve started Little Gym, and she’s like a bull in a china shop.
Excited to see Mama at PDO

Cressey’s first artwork
When Hurricane Harvey made it to Memphis, it brought tornado weather. Cressey was at PDO while I was at a work lunch. When I got there to pick her up, they had had to take the kids to the fellowship hall for shelter. Those poor teachers had to yank them all up from a nap and cart them across the building. They were all quietly hanging out though when I got to her. I was impressed!
