Of course, Helen Grace was up before 7:00 a.m. on Christmas morning, so we let her go see her presents without waiting for her sister. (Cressey has adjusted nicely to not having to get up so early for school. If only HG had done the same…)
She was tickled pink with all of the dolls. Santa brought a new Baby Alive doll and American Girl accessories, and Spiffer/GD/Bubba gave her a closet with lots of doll clothes, an AG locker and lunchbox, and a Wellie Wisher. A Hatchimal was a big excitement too, but once it finally hatched, she lost interest. John got her a FitBit, and the two of them have been obsessed with beating each other in steps each day. (And Mama likes monitoring how much sleep she's getting. It's a win for all!)
Cressey eventually woke up, so HG had a great time going to get her, showing her her presents, and playing with them.
Most of the Moore crew came over for dinner at 1:00, so HG and Cressey had a big time playing with Selena Kate and Archer. (Well, Cress actually slept through the meal but played with Archer/ stuck a finger in his eye afterward.)
Cressey’s first Christmas was a wonderful one. We loved having her with us and watching her experience everything for the first time. She is such a gift to our family!

‘Family tree’
There was an obvious theme this year: No matter what the toy’s purpose was, Cressey preferred to gnaw on it.
