SK Graduation Portrait

For years, I’ve been dreaming of the portrait I’d have made of Helen Grace in her hand-sewn kindergarten graduation dress. As HG started rapidly loosing teeth over the past year, I worried that we wouldn’t get my ‘dream’ shot, but the snaggletooth look proved to be one of my favorite ones yet, especially with the top two teeth gone. So we had to rush up the date of the portrait to make sure this adorable look was preserved forever.

After much thought, I asked Cassie Bousson to shoot the portrait, since she has photographed HG for many years and has a natural and classic eye. We met her at Shelby Farms just before sunset, and once again, she did an amazing job of capturing our little blond-haired, blue-eyed piece of heaven.
