Now that we have a savvy five-year-old traveler who wants to go everywhere we go, it’s been two years since John and I have been on a getaway alone. We decided to have a long weekend in Vegas and somehow convinced HG that Vegas is no fun for kiddos. She was happy to stay with her grandparents for the weekend and play, play, play. We stayed at the Encore resort at the Wynn, and it was amazing!
We got there late on Friday night, and when we arrived, we realized that Mayweather was having a big fight there that weekend. Things were hopping, and the people watching was wild!
On Saturday, we shopped until we dropped, enjoyed lunch at Grand Lux at the Venetian, squeezed in some pool time, chowed down on sushi at Koi at Planet Hollywood, then had a blast at the Beatles Love show at the Mirage. Wonderful and breath-taking show!
On Sunday, we enjoyed some time at the world renowned spa, ordered lunch and drinks at the pool, did some window shopping, and then indulged with dinner at Prime at the Bellagio. We had the best seat in the house and watched the fountain light show throughout our delicious meal as the sun set. It was a great ending to a great grown-up weekend, although we were sure glad to get home to our sweet little girl.
