We were way overdue for a trip to Jackson to see our Daniels family, so before school got underway, we hit the road with Granddaddy and Spiffer for an overnighter at Aunt Glo’s/Nana’s. We had such a nice time getting to see Uncle Lary, Aunt Gloria, and Suzanne, and would you believe Grace Ann and Worth (12 and 16) hung out with us BOTH Friday and Saturday nights?? Now THAT is love, right?! We also squeezed in a visit with Rebecca and her kiddos while we were in town, and we enjoyed some grown up conversation while the girls (and William) ran wild. Very thankful for filling my love cup with family and dear friends!
Checking out a roly poly with GD Feeling patriotic on an early August Friday morning Dinner at Broad Street on Friday nightThe Daniels crew: Gloria, Spiffer, and Lary Back to Glo’s for some ‘Let’s Get Crowdy’
And in action…
On Saturday, we headed out to see the Thomas clan. Of course, HG had to hold William. Good thing he thought that was cool. Group hug as we said goodbye. Reba had just mentioned that Leighton and HG could be roommates at Ole Miss as they are both starting Kindergarten this year. They FLIPPED OUT. As we left, Leighton called to HG, “See ya at Ole Miss!” Leighton, HG, Adickes Back to Glo’s to swim with Grace Ann We are seeing a lot more of HG’s feet above water these days! Dinner at Sal and Mookie’s before we hit the road to come home Aaaaand she’s DONE… She slept almost the whole way home, woke up a bit for milk when we got there, and went right back to bed. She was worn out!
