With each trip to the pool, Helen Grace gets braver and more determined to outdo herself.
We were on a mission last weekend to find a pair of goggles with a wider strap that would stay in place, and she picked out a scuba mask at Target. I think it’s literally opened her eyes to see how cool the pool looks under the water. She is now having FUN and getting excited about challenging herself.
By the end of the weekend, she is now swimming from one side of the deep end to the other, swimming from the deep end to the shallow end and taking a breath along the way, jumping into the deep end by herself and swimming to the ladder, propelling herself off the side of the pool, and climbing down the ladder in the deep end and holding her breath on the bottom. I mean, who is this child?! I can’t stop smiling!
