Friday night, our little Star of the Week had her first soccer game with her 2nd Pres team, the LA Galaxy. It’s amazing what having a season under her belt will do for self esteem. While she wasn’t as aggressive as her daddy on the field yet, she was a whole different child and went after the ball several times rather than dancing and twirling down the field. Maybe some of that had to do with positive peer pressure, too, but she did really well and most importantly, had FUN. We only had to pull her off the fence once (playing with her friends) when it was time for her to get into the game. I mean, we know she’s little miss personality. She did score a goal, but it was for the other team… (She didn’t know the difference, thank goodness.) We are still so proud of her for the coordination and effort that took. We’ll just have to keep working on the rules- and direction- of the game!
