Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day at Bosco's in Midtown with these silly twins, and then the little bosses requested a run through Sweet Noshings for "dessert." Afterward, I went home to lay on the couch to nap, blog, and drink sweet drinks! It was a fantastic day! So thankful for my mama and mother in law, all the 'like mamas to me,' and those dear friends that help me be the best mama, and we remembered our grandmamas in heaven too.

HG's Baccalaureate Mass

May 12th was Helen Grace's 8th grade baccalaureate mass, and we loved celebrating her class at this special time. Each student gave their favorite teacher a rose as a special thanks, and HG put a LOT of thought into who to give it to. While we has had SO MANY special teachers throughout the years (I could write a whole book), she gave her rose to Ms. Healy, her 5th and 6th grade English teacher. And Ms. Healy cried and hugged her tight- so sweet! They got each other through Covid and all the challenges of keeping things 'normal' during that experience.

The next day, I was worn out, so John did a lot of Mr. Mom duties with a big smile on his face. HG on the other hand had lots of fun to poke at me.

HG asked for a bike in Oxford, and when we got there and found it, she couldn't help but hop on- even in the rain!

She took so many bike rides that weekend and caught some beautiful pics

This was the weekend that Cressey learned to play checkers

He was AMAZING! He played Saturday night (for us) and then had a second show planned for Sunday. He cancelled at the very last minute on Sunday night with vocal issues. We were so glad that we had chosen to go on Saturday night.

I complained that HG and John were walking too quickly and that I couldn't keep up because I had heels on. So HG stopped and said to give her my shoes, that she could walk better in my shoes than I could. The infamous shoe swap ensued.
