CMT: 18 Months

Weight: 32 lbs (off the charts)

Height: 33 inches (at the top of the chart, although the dr and I both thought it seemed short, but we did have a very unwilling participant)

Head: 50 (off the charts)

While Cressey’s still very much ‘off the charts,’ she’s still measuring along the curve, and her height to weight index is healthy. For perspective, HG weighed 22 lbs and was 32.75 inches at her 18 mo check up.

In Alys Beach on her 18 month birthday

At her 18 month check up; she wouldn’t let me set her down on the table, so this was the best picture I got.

Most important: NO MORE PACI (The night we made it home from the beach for fall break, we snuck it out of her bed in the middle of the night. We’ve never given it back, and she’s done pretty well without it. Maybe because she hadn’t named it, so she can’t ask for it!)

Last pic with lovey (sniff, sniff)

Run laps around the island, chasing Daddy and HG saying “wheee!” “WHOA” is our favorite phrase.

Has to be held 24/7. Will grab you by the legs and turn you toward her if you are at the sink, folding laundry, etc.

Jealous of my paying attention to HG BIG TIME. If HG sits in my lap, Cressey will become hysterical and throw herself in the floor.

No interest in laying in the bed with us

Sitting in big girl booster chair at the table, no more highchair. PDO is to blame for that.

Clothing is optional. We thought the battle over shoes was bad. She now will mostly wear shoes without a fight, but pants and long sleeve shirts have now replaced that angst.

Parrots any and every word. Has started saying bubble, ruff, quack, neigh, ROAR, night night, sissy, cheeeese, black, bye bye, uh oh, ouchy, ho ho, etc. Waves her arm like an elephant truck.

Furrows her brow when you tell her ‘no;’ she fully understands. Will tell us ‘no’ when she doesn’t want to do something. I've just started seeing her recently nod her head yes at the appropriate times.

Has mastered the tantrum- stomps her feet, refuses to move, and lays herself down in the floor. Seems terrible twos have come early.

Full on run now

Super duper sweet with the kitties

Loves the pantry

Addicted to riding in the Cozy Coupe car. Like we have to hide it so that we don’t fight over it every time we leave the house. Luckily, HG doesn’t mind pushing her in it.

Climbs up the stairs in an instant

Loves to sing (especially Huggies commercial) and dance (Hot Dog song)

Loves to shower with HG

You can tell her, “let’s go to your room,” and she’ll turn around and start going up the stairs.

September 21- saw bottom right cuspid peeking through.

Added another plane trip to her book- back to Alys Beach for fall break. HATED the sand at the beach. HATED to sit still in the airplane, although her ears don’t seem to be bothered by the pressure.

Generally is very demanding of her personal space. She doesn’t want HG to pull on her, she doesn’t want the doctor to touch her, she won’t go to anyone at PDO except her normal teachers, etc.; yet, she regularly flirts with strangers from afar. She’s quite the hit out in public (most of the time), and people always comment on her pretty curls and how happy she is.

Still sleeping like a champ at PDO. She’s gotten hard to put to sleep at home though. (She very very rarely sleeps in the car or anywhere but her bed. Just one big morning nap.) Wants to be held more rather than be put in the bed, but she won’t transfer easily into the bed. One thing I’ve noticed about PDO- HG would be waiting at the door to any nursery and upset if I wasn’t the first mom there. Cressey is always happily playing, not watching the door. I have to holler at her to get her attention.
