Well, Good Friday was good for many reasons! A few weeks ago, my friend, Melissa, told me about Cedar Hill Farm’s big Easter event on Good Friday, complete with an egg hunt, an Easter bunny sighting, pics with bunnies, etc., and it evolved into a huge friend and family outing. All in all, we had 15 people in our entourage!
- Melissa; her son, Lawson; and her mom
- Ashley; her kids, Wynn and Samuel; and her mom
- Emily, Ann Maxwell, and Emmaline
- Me and Helen Grace and JOHN- thank you, bank holidays!- and Spiffer and Granddaddy
Melissa, Ashley, and I grew up together in Southaven, and then we all went to Ole Miss, pledged DG, and met Emily. Very neat that now our babies are friends! We had SUCH a good time letting the kiddos run wild and enjoying the beautiful day, and we were thankful to have John and his professional camera/photogenic eye along for the ride. The weather turned out to be a little chilly in the morning (in the mid 50s), so we had to pull out the pants again. Welcome to Mississippi! (shaking my head)
Bunnies!!! Duckies!!! She wanted to pet the horsey. We were all excited about the ‘train’ ride, but after we were all loaded up and ready to go, the tractor’s battery died. Bummer! Approaching the Easter Bunny, she was intrigued because we told her that he was lonely and wanted a friend. And then we got too close and she threw on the brakes…
These two ran around holding hands the whole day, although most of the time it ended up being HG pulling AM where she wanted her to go instead of where AM had planned. HG is turning into quite the Bossy Bess. John captured this hilarious hug/tackle collapse. Wynn and Helen Grace A glimpse into Delta Gamma’s 2027 pledge class (we hope)… Lawson, Samuel, Wynn, HG, AM, Emmaline Eggs!! HG, Sha, Samuel, Melissa, Lawson, Ashley, Wynn, Ann Maxwell, Emily, and Emmaline
What a fun day of celebrating new life and old friendships during this Easter season!
