On Friday, we kicked off CB and Emily’s wedding weekend!!
Helen Grace and I started off the day with the bridesmaids’ luncheon while the boys met for lunch. Man, we were treated like princesses at the party, especially Helen Grace who had a special plate, super cool sippy cup, and a HUGE bag of goodies to keep her entertained. The hostess-with-the-mostest’s house was decorated in a Jamaican theme in honor of their honeymoon, and I am so jealous that I can’t stow away in their suitcase for a little sand and sun. We enjoyed getting to visit with CB and Emily’s family that have come from far and wide to celebrate this big day!
Surveying all her giftsEmmy gave HG this cute little polar bag in her bag of goodies (along with coloring books, crayons, books, stickers, magnets, etc). This child is going to be spoiled rotten (more than she already is) by the end of the weekend! My sweet little monkey
We met at the zoo in the late afternoon to rehearse. Helen Grace was extremely shy at first with all those people looking at her, but when she saw the sea lions, she bounded out of her stroller and never slowed down. I just hope she’s that laid back for the actual ceremony. She and I are walking down the aisle with Larry, and bless his heart, he tried his best to befriend her. She had warmed up a lot by the end and was giggling with him, so he was happy. :)
Coo coos (and Mommy’s phone) kept us entertained and somewhat quiet during the rehearsal
We headed to Fox & Hound for the rehearsal dinner where Grandma, Peg, and Aunt Kathryn joined us. Nice to see all the boys together. John gave a great toast… “While I might have the title of Best Man, CB is the best man in this room.” Sniff, sniff.
