Although our family has been fighting the stomach bug on and off for the last few days, we’ve had a great week. Helen Grace walked right into the nursery at church on Wednesday morning and all but waved bye to me. She was a little shy at first today at Little Gym but was running circle like a wild woman by the end of the hour. She loved kicking the balls, swinging from the bar, and running down the wedge mats…and the bubbles, of course. We celebrated Callum’s second birthday this afternoon with a playdate at the Children’s Museum. And we wrapped up the day with some nice, much needed family time. We enjoyed chowing down on a pizza dinner (where she showed us how kitty cats take a bath), and since she was covered in tomato sauce afterward, John took her straight to the bathtub. When he was done, he hollered for me, “Sha! She’s ready to get out!” And what does she do?! She yells,“Sha! Sha! Sha!” And she hasn’t stopped since! That little rascal! She and her daddy think it’s HILARIOUS! Me…not so much.
Funny story from today…she was playing with her dollhouse on our leather ottoman. She pushed two of the Little People out the front door, and they fell to the floor. She jumped down and rushed to pick them up, looking them over and asking, “K? K?”
A Michael Jackson inspired, “I dunno” Pretty in purple Doesn’t everyone walk down slides instead of sliding down them? “Gotcha, Mommy!” “Stop it, Mommy, you crack me up!” The only decent picture I managed to get of HG and the birthday boy. Happy birthday, Callum! She really wanted to get in the climbing tower, but she changed her mind once she got in the first level.
Clowning around with Daddy in her cowgirl hat…thanks, Leighton!
