This year’s Nutcracker was themed Comic Con and was full of superheroes. Helen Grace was a soldier and loved learning the other part of her mice dance from last year. She had a bit of nerves this year a week or so ahead of time. Once I told her that the only people that were watching her were her family (everyone else is watching their own kid), she calmed down and perked up. At show time, she ran backstage as always, without a second glance back at mama. She had her most serious face on as a soldier, and she led the line out on stage. I was a nervous wreck, but she was PERFECT. Couldn’t have been better!
