With Saturday morning’s soccer game cancelled due to overnight rain and muddy fields, we took advantage of a free day and headed to Oxford for Double Decker. Granddaddy came along since Spiffer had a girls’ lunch. The sun came out after a bit, and we had fun just strolling, people watching, and eating- HG ate 2/3 of an ice cream cookie sandwich all by herself!
We came home in time for a mouse nap (really HG slept for 2 hours- nothing ‘mouse’ about that), and then we picked up Sallie Key who was spending the night with us and headed to Corky’s for a family dinner. Our two very tired girls had fun playing Barbies but barely made it until bedtime. At 9:00, HG ASKED to go lay in bed with her milk. First time ever. Needless to say, they were asleep by 9:30. What a BIG and fun day!
We ran into a ton of friends, but HG was tickled pink to run into Mrs. Mungle, Mary Caroline, and fam. I’m sure this won’t be the last time these two girls party on the Oxford square!
