Scooting

Last Saturday night, John was given tickets to the Grizzlies game, so we had a date night with the Egners while Helen Grace went with Spiffer and Granddaddy to dinner with the Hasseltines to celebrate Hayes’ NINTH birthday. After chowing down on pizza, they headed back to their house to enjoy the beautiful spring evening. The girls let Helen Grace borrow one of their pink (of course) scooters, but in order to get down the street to a cove to play, she had to wear a helmet. Little Miss Priss has never worn a helmet and was NOT very excited about it, but when she realized she was getting left behind, she quickly decided to give it a try. And man, from what I hear, the girl scooted her little heart out trying to keep up with the big girls. They played in the cove doing ‘tricks’ on their bikes and scooter. On the way back to the house from the cove, HG stops and looks at Granddaddy and Spiffer and says, “Whew, I think I need to take a break!”

Hope you had a great birthday, Hayes! We love you!
