Toohig Tidbits: October

"Match colors with your big sis" day

Even Cayman got into celebrating Susan's birthday!

Susan was a good sport about the birthday surprise!

Nosy kittens

Oct. 4: Cheering at Briarcrest- and a BIG win!

Field Day

Passing love notes with Cressey

Finally found time for pumpkins!

"You're not falling out on my watch!"

All four kitties in a pic which is rare!

John was cleaning out closets and HG tried on his CBHS letter jacket- whew!

He's so big that Cressey can disappear under his chin

Having a teenager has its advantages (pumping gas)

First firepit of the season

Typical siblings

Mass with Cress

October 11: MUS game

HG got to fly in the fight song for the first time, and they did it several times! It was SO FUN to watch!

While HG cheered, Cressey was living her best life at a barn sleepover!

Spiffer and GD picked her up for us on Saturday morning, and she was filthy and happy!

John and I spent some time paying tribute to a dear friend Derek who died from leukemia.

John gave a beautiful eulogy

And a surprise appearance by this baby cousin of mine made a hard day a little happier

I love getting pics like this from my daddy when my girls are with them. I knew every crook and cranny of my grandmothers' houses, and I love that she listens so intently when Spiffer tells her stories of special things in her house.

DG initiation was Sunday morning- 200 new members!

Cressey is an organizing queen! She disappeared in here after bringing me a drink, and this is what I found when I went to check on her.

Field Day for Cressey

The Madonna cheerleaders came to cheer with our girls one game!

When little sis finds the costume remnants from big sis' after party...

Helping out at the Make A Wish office and cuddling this miracle baby boy!

HG and her classmates came to wrap sponsor tiles

Blue loves that it's fireplace season again

School picture day! She and I argued for days over which way her part was going to be for the pics. (She wants a middle part, but her cowlick wants a side part) We settled on pulling it back so there would be no part...

Halloween class party

Moore Brothers and Wives dinner

Now that friends are driving, you never know who will show up at the door!

Celebrating Annie's big birthday almost a month late

Teenager being a teenager

Loving football weekends with our family and a slow morning before Oklahoma

Proof that Cressey was there (but just home with a babysitter)

A SQUIRREL on the field scored a touchdown!

Sweet Anna

Pretty proud of our new tailgate sign

A pic of the crime scene. Cressey had her second fall, this time off Whammy. His saddle wasn't tight enough, and she just slid off. Maddie made her get back on and take a pic with her 'splat.' She cried a little at first but pulled it together and had a fun rest of her lesson.

Love seeing these little notes around the house

Living Rosary

The OG Grizz are back! Well, they were for like three games...

Halloween: Butterfly & Ariel

For Halloween this year, we trick or treated in our neighborhood with Cressey's classmates, Khodee and Megan, and Helen Grace went to a friend's house to trick or treat with all of her fellow Disney princesses (she was Ariel because of her red hair). Cressey stumbled across some of HG's old costume stuff a few weeks ago and fell in love with the butterfly wings and the pink gogo boots. Luckily, after she took pics in the boots on Halloween night, she decided to switch to tennis shoes for easier running- smart move!

Cressey designed her own kitty cat, and HG did the internet sensation baby hippo, Moo Deng

Of course this girl was a whiz with the motorized saw thing

Cayman

Meet HG's new baby, Cayman. While we have loved having Casey with us for the last year and a half, Helen Grace has now reached his top limits of jumping, so we've had to look for the next step. Cayman comes to us from Tuscaloosa, is 17 hands high, is sooooo chill and steady, and can give HG plenty of room to grow in height. Casey will stay through Christmas though, thankfully. It will be hard to let him go!
