In July, each Toohig daughter got to have a mama trip to NYC. First up, the Fiks asked us if we were up for a Zach Bryan concert just across the river in NJ, and the answer was YESSS! So much shopping and exploring new restaurants. And then the Julia's family asked if we could swing a quick trip before school started if they were able to make it to town. The answer was YES! So Cressey and I did all the things that HG isn't really up for and had some fun time with Jules!
Din Tai Fung- I had never heard of this place, but it was at the top of Lilah's list. Even getting to it was an experience- all you can see from the street level is a small glass building. You have to go inside and then DOWN to find the sprawling restaurant which is famous for its dumplings. It was delicious!
Passed the Gershwin (Wicked) stage door- always exciting!
Little Island
Had to stop by to say hi to Hamilton at Trinity Church
Snacks at Serafina on Wall Street
Getting ready for the big show!
We opted for a car instead of trying to conquer the train, and it was definitely the right decision.
Met Life Stadium where the Giants play. Kings of Leon opened for Zach, and then Bruce Springsteen came out as a special guest!
Ready to shop til they drop
Lunch at Bill's Burgers
Had to get a new friend at FAO Schwarz, of course
Cressey's turn!
We got upgraded to first class- made Cressey's day!
We visited Bluey at the CAMP store
And then I gave in and took her to the slime museum, Sloomoo. Of course, she loved it.
JULIA!!
Just a little shower turned into a downpour as we walked to the Museum of Ice Cream
WET
But ice cream!
And back to their hotel lobby (with new/ dry shirts) to let the girls play until their dinner plans
